This is THE FOX reporting. Today I am 6 months old, and things are no better. We picked Pepper up last night from the vet's and she is WOUNDED!!! She was OK when we left her there, but she is not OK now. The vet must have fixed her up because she has a big wound in her belly. I want to help her, but she won't let me. I try to lick it, and sometimes she will stop but not for long. She GROWLED at ME! Mom and Dad are treating her differently. They fed her with a spoon this morning and when she brought them her ball, they rolled it to her. Usually they throw it high in the air and she jumps up to get it. Not today, though. More news on Pepper later.

Mom and Dad bought a funny thing. They cut a hole in our back storm door and put a moving window in it! Now I can go out and come in by myself. Mom calls it a pet door! I didn't know we had any pets. What do you think you are, silly dog? GO BACK TO BED!! I am my mom's good boy! And you are her little girl. Boy are you SILLY. What ever happened at the vet's must have effected your brain!

Pepper is better! She is runnning and jumping and playing. With everything but me, that is. She only wants to play ball, but she is better!

What is Christmas? I have never seen one before. Dad is putting lights up on our house and the UPS man has brought boxes and the mail man brings paper books that I like to grab when mom isn't looking. I don't know if I shall like "Christmas". Even Pepper is putting "decorations" on our page. This requires some investigating. This is THE FOX signing off.

PEPPER IS WELL! Today Pepper played with ME, THE FOX. Of course, she knocked me off the bed first! All I was doing was standing next to mom and mom was petting me. That sneaky Pepper slithered across the bed and attacked from the flank. It was so quick that I was on the floor before I knew what had happened. Mom told dad that Pepper was re-establishing dominance. I guess that means she will still boss me around. But, later that morning, she wrestled with me. It was reat fun!

Bad news! Some strangers came and dad put us in our crates. They carried something that SMELLED into our den! Then they put it on the floor. Everything is upside down! But the worst is yet to come!

Mom and dad took our bed apart and moved it into the room with the smelly stuff on the floor. I tried to stop them, but they put me back into my crate. Pepper, the wierd-o, tried to help them. She thought it was GREAT!

After everything was moved they let me out. I was MAD. They had put a gate in the doorway.

That night, we went to bed in the smelly room. All night long I heard intruders. I sounded the alarm every time. Mom would grab me and rub my tummy. Not bad.

Today is Pepper's birthday. She is one year old. Big deal.

More strangers came. Mom came home earily and introduced them as extended pack members. The kids were staying all night, so we all had fun. We played with our Christmas stuff and then, MORE strangers came. These guys brought furniture! All new furniture for me and Pepper. Dad put us out in the back yard, but when the strangers left we came in. Our old sleeping den was filled with places to lay down. The only thing Pepper didn't like was a tall black stick that put light on the roof of the den. I didn't care. I was too busy trying out all of the chairs.
